📌 Prerequisites Before Creating a Printer in SAP
Make sure the following requirements are met:
✅ Device Type and Device Driver have been installed on the system
✅ The printer has a static IP address
✅ The printer is connected to the internal network
✅ The printer has the required fonts installed
🖨️ Step 1: Define the Printer Name

Log in to SAP

Go to Tcode SPAD > Display

Switch to Edit Mode

Click Create to add a new printer

Fill in the fields:

Output Device: Custom name for the printer
Short Name: Short name of the printer

Device Type: e.g.,
ZHPUTF8F

⚙️ Step 2: Configure Access Method
Navigate to the Access Method tab:

Host Spool Access Method: Select U U: Print Using Berkeley Protocol

Host Printer:
\\<Printer IP>\LPT1

Destination Host: Enter the printer’s IP

Check Do not query host spooler or printer for print request
